Waggonbau G”rlitz VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb, or “People’s Own Enterprise”) was a state-owned company based in G”rlitz, East Germany (now Germany) that specialized in the production of rail vehicles. The company was founded in 1950 and was a major producer of railway rolling stock, including passenger coaches, freight wagons, and other types of rail vehicles. Waggonbau G”rlitz VEB was a key player in the East German rail industry and was known for producing high-quality products for both domestic and international markets.
