Vereinigter Schienenfahrzeugbau DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik, or “German Democratic Republic”) was a state-owned company based in East Germany (now Germany) that specialized in the production of rail vehicles. The company was founded in 1950 and was a major producer of railway rolling stock, including locomotives, passenger coaches, and freight wagons. Vereinigter Schienenfahrzeugbau DDR was a key player in the East German rail industry and was known for producing high-quality products for both domestic and international markets. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, the company was likely privatized or dissolved.
