The Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is a U.S. government facility that is located on Merritt Island, Florida. It is the primary launch facility for NASA and is responsible for the launch and landing of all NASA spacecraft, including the Space Shuttle and the Artemis program. The KSC is named after President John F. Kennedy, who committed the U.S. to the goal of landing a man on the Moon by the end of the 1960s.
