STS-135 was the final manned spaceflight mission of the NASA Space Shuttle program. The mission took place from July 8 to July 21, 2011 and was carried out by the Space Shuttle Atlantis. The main goal of the mission was to bring the Large Orbital Docking Adapter (LODA) and the ExPRESS Logistics Carrier 4 (ELC-4) to the International Space Station (ISS). STS-135 was also the last opportunity for NASA to transport cargo to the ISS, as the Space Shuttle program was terminated after the mission. The mission patch for STS-135 features a space shuttle surrounded by the shield of NASA, as well as the flags of the US, Canada, and Europe.
