About About a year ago I decided to begin a project called ?The Hometown Homage Type Project? The concept behind this project was to create a typeface inspired by every place I have lived, and a new one for every new city I move to. I use each typeface to not only mark a period of my life, but also track my progress and changing personality as a designer. My first finished typeface is Sedgwick County. It is inspired by the city of Wichita, KS. It borrows from the traditional western slab serif typefaces and mixes in modern inspiration to make it a solid and very masculine typeface.
