S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death) is an American crossover thrash band that was formed in 1985 in New York City. The band’s original lineup consisted of Billy Milano (vocals), Scott Ian (guitar), Dan Lilker (bass), and Charlie Benante (drums). S.O.D. is known for its aggressive, satirical lyrics and its fast, intense music. The band’s most popular songs include “United Forces,” “Milano Mosh,” and “March of the S.O.D.” S.O.D. released two studio albums before disbanding in 1991. In 1999, the band reunited for a brief tour, and in 2009, the band released a new EP called “Rise of the Infidels.” S.O.D. continues to perform occasional live shows.
