Poison is an American glam metal band that was formed in 1983 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The band’s original lineup consisted of Bret Michaels (vocals, guitar), Bobby Dall (bass), Rikki Rockett (drums), and Matt Smith (guitar). Poison is known for its flashy, over-the-top stage presence and its catchy, energetic songs. The band’s most popular songs include “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Unskinny Bop,” and “Nothin’ But a Good Time.” In 1991, Matt Smith left the band and was replaced by C.C. DeVille. Poison has released seven studio albums and has sold over 45 million records worldwide. The band continues to tour and perform.
