The Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) is a part of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) that serves as the central access point for DOE-sponsored research and development (R&D) results. OSTI’s mission is to collect, preserve, and disseminate scientific and technical information (STI) generated by DOE-funded R&D activities. This includes research papers, conference proceedings, technical reports, and other scientific and technical materials produced by DOE laboratories and grantees. OSTI operates the Science.gov and WorldWideScience.org portals, which provide free public access to a wide range of scientific and technical information resources.
