At Netflix we work with language specialists (freelancers and vendors) that translate some of your favorite movies and shows in 25 different languages for 100M+ members in 190 countries. Those are some serious numbers! To create the best local user experience at scale for a global audience we had to rely less on third party software and double down on building out our own localization platform. — Before a title goes live on the service many teams across the organization need access to a movie or show’s glossary sheet at any given time. This master sheet is a point of reference for consistency in the localization of subtitles, dubs, UI, trailers, and other marketing materials important to our brand. To enable a much smarter and more efficient way of creating, managing, and automating KNPs at Netflix, every party involved in the KNP process will see changes in real time, have ability to create entries manually and be able to communicate with teams running parallel to the project. — We’re also looking for a Product Designer to join us on the Content Platform Engineering team to help design and build out a suite of internal tools for operations.
