Expedition 56 was a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) that took place from June to October 2018. The Expedition 56 crew consisted of six astronauts: two from NASA, two from the Russian space agency Roscosmos, one from the European Space Agency (ESA), and one from the Japanese space agency JAXA. The crew members conducted a variety of scientific experiments and maintenance tasks on the ISS during their time on board. They also welcomed several cargo spacecraft delivering supplies and scientific equipment to the station.
