The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is a statistical agency of the U.S. government. It is a part of the U.S. Department of Energy and is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating energy data and information to the public. The EIA provides a wide range of information on energy production, consumption, imports, exports, and prices, as well as analysis and projections of energy trends. It also produces regular reports on issues related to energy, such as the U.S. electric power sector, natural gas markets, and renewable energy.
