The Computer Vision Foundation (CVF) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote research and development in computer vision, as well as to educate the public about the field. The CVF was founded in 2011 as a merger of two previously existing organizations: the International Association for Computer Vision (IACV) and the Computer Vision Society (CVS). The organization hosts several annual conferences and workshops, including the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) conference, which is widely considered to be the premier conference in the field of computer vision. The CVF also provides funding for research and education in computer vision, and publishes a number of journals and newsletters to disseminate information about the latest developments in the field.
