CompuAdd was an American computer manufacturer and direct marketer, based in Austin, Texas, that was active from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. The company was known for selling custom-built personal computers, servers, and workstations direct to consumers and businesses, often at a lower cost than the major brand-name manufacturers. CompuAdd also offered a wide range of computer-related products and services, including software, peripherals, networking equipment, and technical support. They were one of the first companies to sell and market personal computers direct to the end-user, and were considered a pioneer in this approach, however the company went out of business around the early 2000s.
