AirLanka was the former name of SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1979 and operated under the name AirLanka until it was rebranded as SriLankan Airlines in 1998. The airline has its hub at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and operates flights to destinations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and North America. SriLankan Airlines is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance and has codeshare agreements with several other airlines.
