Here is my take on currently active challenge of redesigning Reddit. I went with the dark UI since it’s something a lot of people are asking for. I didn’t want to change a lot of things just of for the sake of changing it, because I personally like a lot of stuff they did with the new update. Instead, my focus was on UX improvements the people are asking for like better use of available space, easier scanning and reading of topics, contrast between different layers of content and so on.
I have to say that this was quite a challenge as it turned out that designing a front page of internet is not an everyday task 😀
