AIG is an American insurance company with headquarters in New York. It has a rather long history, being founded back in 1919. Having been created as American-Asian insurance company in China, it was moved in 1949 to New York. Today it operates in more than 80 countries situated in America, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. AIG deals with a broad spectrum of insurance services, including life insurance, general property, retirement, and investments issues. In 2016 the company’s yearly turnover was at the level of 52,4 billion US dollars and its net income reached 349 million US dollars.
