The American Nazi Party (ANP) is a political party in the United States that promotes white nationalist and neo-Nazi beliefs. The party was founded in 1959 by George Lincoln Rockwell, who was its leader until his assassination in 1967. The ANP is a small and fringe group that has been widely condemned for its extremist views and actions. It has been involved in several acts of violence and has been designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The ANP is not affiliated with the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party, which was the ruling party of Germany during World War II.
