If you ever watched Foster’s home for imaginary friends then you already know where we’re headed. Before any design is even created (is born into this life), it used to be a simple idea, then the designer starts developing this idea until he gives birth to it (prints it). So in order to create something special or unique, one needs to have a wide imagination; which means the idea is a reflection of the creator’s personality and imagination. And just like imaginary friends, fonts are born and created out of our need for them.
