The Toledo Walleye are a minor league ice hockey team based in Toledo, Ohio. They are members of the ECHL (formerly known as the East Coast Hockey League) and play their home games at the Huntington Center. The Walleye were founded in 1991 as the Toledo Storm and were rebranded as the Walleye in 2010. They have been a successful franchise in the ECHL, making the playoffs in several seasons and winning the Brabham Cup, which is awarded to the team with the most points during the regular season, in 2016 and 2017. In addition to their on-ice success, the Walleye have also been recognized for their strong fan support and community involvement. They have consistently ranked among the league leaders in attendance and have established themselves as a major part of the Toledo sports scene.
