Thringer Schokoladenwerk TSW VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb, or “People’s Own Enterprise”) was a state-owned chocolate manufacturer based in East Germany (now Germany). The company was founded in 1948 and was a major producer of chocolate products, including chocolate bars, chocolate-covered snacks, and other confectionery items. Thringer Schokoladenwerk TSW VEB was a key player in the East German confectionery industry and was known for producing high-quality chocolate products for both domestic and international markets. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, the company was privatized and is now known as Thringer Schokoladenwerk GmbH.
