Textima Karl Marx Stadt VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb, or “People’s Own Enterprise”) was a state-owned textile company based in Karl Marx Stadt, East Germany (now Chemnitz, Germany). The company was founded in 1948 and was a major producer of textiles, including clothing, bedding, and other household textiles. Textima Karl Marx Stadt VEB was a key player in the East German textile industry and was known for producing high-quality products for both domestic and international markets. With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, the company was privatized and is now known as Textima GmbH.
