STS-110 was a Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Atlantis. The mission launched on April 8, 2002, and was the thirteenth shuttle mission to visit the ISS. The primary objective of the mission was to install the S0 (S-zero) Truss, which would serve as the backbone of the ISS’s truss structure and provide a mounting point for solar arrays, radiators, and other equipment. The mission also included the installation of a robotic arm extension on the station.
