About Ptarmigan was based on the lettering I saw on the side of a moving van trailer. It gave me the idea to make a font that was very bold and had minimal whitespace and small counters in the letters.
I don?t know if I achieved the exact effect I was striving toward, but the result was nonetheless very satisfactory. It is surely one of my favorites out of all the fonts I?ve made. It is definitely one of the sleekest of all the fonts I?ve made. And it is also very verastile ? you can probably find a use for it somehow. And using all of the styles in conjunction with one another can lead to a nice effect: look at the sample above.
It also has many international characters and a bunch of symbols in each variation, which is always a plus.
