It’s very easy to downgrade monospaced fonts by labeling them as simplistic and uninteresting, but they are more than that. A very great example is the Kontanter font. It is an experimental monospaced font loosely based on Gotham Bold. Kontanter features multiple languages with alternate letters in lowercase.
