Jailbreak Italia – iOS App Logo

Logo for Jailbreak Italia’s Group.”Jailbreak Italia” is an Italian Telegram group focused on the entire iOS and Jailbreak scene.
The dark background was requested by the customer and uses a gradient from dark black to light black. The initials “j” and “b” refer to the acronym of “JailBreak” and have been specially created trying to maintain the uniformity of the curved UI present in iOS.
The character “j” has been specially modified to be an extension of a chess, symbol of the “checkra1n” jailbreak tool, based on the “Checkm8” exploit which exploits a bug in the bootrom of all Apple devices from the iPhone 4S to the iPhone X, elevating it to “eternal jailbreak”. This choice was made in order to give a sense of eternity also to the logo and the group itself.
The chess was deliberately created without making its rounded shapes. This, as well as the opposite colors (blue and red)  symbolize the dividing line of the devices with a stock version of iOS and those with a jailbroken version of iOS.
