Confederation Africaine de Football is one of the 6 continental confederations of world soccer and the largest among them. The first negotiations on the establishment of the organization took place in 1956, and already in 1957 in Khartoum (Sudan) CAF was officially founded by representatives of 4 national federations: Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Sudan, and the Republic of South Africa (in the same year the last of them was excluded due to the apartheid policy in the country).
