IBM Swift Sandbox

Today, the Mobile Innovation Lab played a big part in the announcement of Swift being open-sourced through the release of the IBM Swift Sandbox (BETA).

“The IBM Swift Sandbox is an interactive website that lets you write Swift code and execute it in a server environment – on top of Linux! Each sandbox runs on IBM Cloud in a Docker container.” (Read the full blog post by one of our developers, John Petitto)

A small team of talented developers in the Mobile Innovation Lab came together to build this awesome tool in a short amount of time, and this is just the beginning. I have had the privilege of designing the layout of the sandbox. We have some excited plans to improve the sandbox with many more features. One of which is a theme switcher to customize the environment.
