Are you thinking what we’re thinking? Why is this font called the “kitchen sink”? Well, it’s because that’s where Ollie Briggs got inspired and came up with this creative typeface. He literally used his favorite haunt of kitchen sponges to create this font, which is why we think it would have been so cool if he named it “Spongebob Squarepants”; Anyways, let’s get back to the kitchen sink. Each letter was created by dabbing a letter shaped sponge (covered in paint) onto a piece of paper and then scanning it. Also, each letter has 2 versions, which gives the font a handmade touch, and it comes in 3 different styles: light, regular, and bold, all representing the amount of ink and pressure used on the sponge letter.
